The Roze Dhani Community Organization (RDCO) is a non-profit, community-based organization committed to empowering marginalized and underserved communities through inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered development. Working primarily in District Sanghar, Sindh, RDCO has emerged as a trusted local development organization by addressing the fundamental needs of vulnerable households through integrated interventions in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter, Education, Environment, Emergency Response, and Social Protection.
Since its inception, RDCO has adopted a community-driven approach that prioritizes local participation, transparency, accountability, and partnerships with philanthropists, charitable trusts, and development organizations. Through these collaborations, RDCO has successfully implemented a wide range of humanitarian and development initiatives that have contributed to improving the quality of life of thousands of vulnerable families, including women, children, persons with disabilities, minority communities, widows, and disaster-affected households.
The organization has facilitated the installation of 585 hand pumps and 32 solar-powered submersible pumps, providing access to safe drinking water for hundreds of families living in water-scarce desert communities. RDCO has also supported the construction of 141 climate-resilient shelters, distributed 732 food ration packages, and established sustainable livelihood opportunities through sewing machines, livestock distribution, enterprise development, and monthly food assistance.
In the health sector, RDCO has organized free medical camps, eye camps, vaccination campaigns, and health awareness sessions benefiting thousands of individuals. The organization has also invested in education by establishing a computer laboratory, supporting scholarships for deserving students, promoting religious education, and strengthening digital learning opportunities in rural schools.
Additional initiatives, including dowry support, Eid assistance, Ramzan Iftar programs, Qurbani distribution, mosque construction and repair, and tree plantation campaigns, further demonstrate RDCO’s commitment to holistic community well-being.
RDCO’s work is made possible through the generous support of a diverse network of philanthropists and organizations, including Dhartee Rang Welfare Trust, Ms. Mishal Masood, Madam Shazeena, Fareed Khan, Hum Dost Foundation, Azan Ali Kazmi Foundation, E-HANDS, Helping Hands, Save the Humanity, and contributions mobilized directly by RDCO.
Looking ahead, RDCO aims to expand its geographical outreach and deepen its impact across Sindh by strengthening programs in safe drinking water, sanitation, climate-resilient shelter, formal and non-formal education, primary and preventive healthcare, food security, livelihood development, environmental sustainability, and emergency humanitarian response.
Guided by the principles of equity, dignity, inclusion, and community ownership, RDCO remains committed to contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building resilient, self-reliant communities where every individual has the opportunity to live a healthy, secure, and dignified life.
