Improving food security and strengthening sustainable livelihoods remain central to RDCO’s development efforts across District Sanghar and District Mirpurkhas. Through the generous support of philanthropic individuals and partner organizations, RDCO has implemented a range of interventions aimed at reducing hunger, restoring livelihoods, and improving the resilience of vulnerable households. To address immediate food needs, RDCO distributed 732 ration packages to extremely poor families and organized 750 emergency food distributions during times of crisis. In addition, the organization arranged community Dastarkhwan (Iftar/community meal) serving 923 needy persons, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families had access to nutritious meals during religious and humanitarian occasions. Recognizing that sustainable income is essential for long-term food security, RDCO provided 25 enterprise development assistance, including distribution of sewing machines, distribution of live goats and establishing of small shops. support by, sewing machines, and small business establishment, enabling vulnerable families to generate regular income and become more self-reliant. The distribution of goats to the poorest households, ensured strengthening household nutrition while creating sustainable livestock-based livelihood opportunities. These integrated interventions have reduced food insecurity, improved household incomes, enhanced resilience against economic shocks, and restored dignity among vulnerable communities. Through its continued commitment to sustainable livelihood development and humanitarian assistance, RDCO is contributing to SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger, while promoting selfreliance and inclusive community development across its intervention areas.
