Health Programs

RDCO has been actively engaged in promoting primary healthcare, preventive health practices, and community health awareness across the rural communities of Sanghar District. Recognizing that improved public health is closely linked with safe water, sanitation, and hygiene, the organization has integrated its health initiatives with WASH interventions to raise awareness on personal hygiene, safe drinking water, sanitation, disease prevention, and the importance of timely healthcare seeking. As part of its public health initiatives, RDCO conducted 8 COVID-19 awareness and vaccination campaigns, reaching 233 individuals with vital information on disease prevention, vaccination, and public health safety measures. To improve access to specialized eye care in underserved areas, the organization organized 7 mobile (rolling) eye camps, benefiting 272 individuals through eye examinations, consultations, and the identification of vision-related problems. Furthermore, RDCO facilitated 26 eye surgeries for patients requiring advanced treatment, restoring or improving vision and enhancing their quality of life. To address the general healthcare needs of rural communities, RDCO organized 1 free general medical camp, through which 493 individuals received medical consultations, basic treatment, and essential medicines. In addition, the organization provided medical assistance to 6 extremely poor patients, ensuring that financially disadvantaged individuals were able to access critical healthcare services and treatment. Collectively, these health interventions have strengthened community awareness, improved access to preventive and curative healthcare services, and contributed to better health outcomes and enhanced well-being for vulnerable individuals and families across Sanghar District.
